The Friends of Rydell and Glacial Ridge Refuges Association (FRGRRA) is hosting their third annual Walk for the Wild 5k and fundraising event on October 13th at Rydell National Wildlife Refuge. The event features a 5k trail, nature hikes, a scavenger hunt, and refreshments. Registration is free and donations support interpretive and educational programs.

Come learn how to make adorable snowman potholders! This beginner-friendly class will teach you quilting, binding, and topstitching techniques, along with a special secret ingredient. The Military Vehicle Preservation Association's (MVPA) Convoy #8 will be stopping in Thief River Falls on October 1st as part of a nationwide journey along the Jefferson Highway Route. This exciting event will feature approximately 35 antique military vehicles and coincide with the unveiling of a new historic landmark sign commemorating Thief River Falls' place along the Jefferson Highway. Fall Cycling Extravaganza offers scenic rides for all! Choose from gravel or paved routes ranging from 1.4 to 64 miles. Enjoy rest stops, refreshments, and post-ride fun at Rivers and Rails Brewing.
