Bike Thief River Falls

Thief River Falls is great place for cyclists of any ability level, from kids to advanced riders.

Street Wizards Car & Cycle Show

The Street Wizards Car & Cycle Show occurs annually the first weekend of August in Floyd B. Olson Park. A Trivia Kruze is held on Friday, along with Pre-Registration, and the show is held on Saturday. FREE for spectators!


RiverFest is a community celebration in Thief River Falls, Minnesota held annually the first weekend of August featuring talented musicians performing in Hartz Park.

Pennington County Fair

This annual fair has a huge midway, carnival rides, food stands, 4-H exhibits, FREE bandshell entertainment, bingo, raffle, chainsaw sculpturing & much more! This year's dates are July 17-21, 2019.

You'll find excellent fishing year-round on the rivers. The Red Lake River, in the Thief River Falls area, offers excellent fishing. Whether you’re in waders, a float tube, canoe or just fishing from the bank, the opportunity for walleyes, northern pike, small mouth bass, crappies and a host of other species is great!

Biking in TRF

Thief River Falls is a safe city to bike around and there are several fun places to ride. The 7-mile scenic River Walk is a wonderful place to bike with your family, or the 3+ miles of multi-use trails going 3 different directions from the Greenwood St. roundabout are great options too. More experienced riders can share the road with motorists and ride in the same direction as traffic.
