Event Planning Guide

Are you planning an event? Thief River Falls has numerous options to accommodate events – large and small! From large spaces to hold weddings, wedding receptions or sports events; to small spaces for meetings, baby/bridal showers, and birthday parties…Thief River Falls can accommodate it all.

The Ralph Engelstad Arena and the Huck Olson Memorial Civic Center can each hold between 3,500 - 4,000 people. They can host hockey and basketball tournaments, along with other sporting events and large wedding receptions. The Curling Club can hold 500+ people. The MEC (Multi-Event Center) is an outdoor facility that can host football, track, soccer, baseball, and softball events. It can host tournaments for all ages and has bathrooms and a concession stand. Other event centers that can host larger events are the Quality Inn, the Eagles Club, the National Guard Armory, and the Legacy Event Center – all with capacities for 300 people.

For events that are not too big, but not too small, Thief River Falls has the perfect options for you! The Heritage Center, the Black Cat, the River Walk Public House, and the Quality Inn can host approximately 100 people for smaller gatherings or meetings. Thief River Falls has numerous centers that can host groups of 30 - 50 people. The Country School is a newer, charming event facility that can host 35 people. For meetings or other small events, hotels have great meeting rooms. The GrandStay Hotel & Suites, AmericInn Lodge & Suites, and the C’mon Inn are great options.
