Ice Fishing Derby to be held near the Eighth Street Bridge. It is open to everyone. Ice holes will be drilled, so participants only need to bring their favorite fishing rod. Minnows are provided by the Knights of Columbus. MN DNR rules apply to this event. $100 will be awarded for the largest northern caught during this event. A $50 cash prize will be awarded to the first fish weighed in. Many area businesses donate prizes that are given away during the fishing derby. A concessions stand serving hot dogs, brats, and hot chocolate will be available. A drawing for $1000 and $500 and five $100 prizes will be held at 3pm. Raffle tickets are available from council members, at most convenience stores, KTRF Radio or at the entrance for the Fishing Derby. Ticketholders must be 18 years. Winners need not be present to win.
