Visit Thief River Falls is excited to host our 𝗙𝗶𝗿𝘀𝘁 𝗔𝗻𝗻𝘂𝗮𝗹 𝗙𝗼𝘂𝗿𝘁𝗵 𝗼𝗳 𝗝𝘂𝗹𝘆 𝗕𝗼𝗮𝘁 𝗣𝗮𝗿𝗮𝗱𝗲 as we celebrate America’s 250th birthday! 𝘞𝘩𝘦𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘳 𝘺𝘰𝘶’𝘳𝘦 𝘢 𝘭𝘰𝘤𝘢𝘭 𝘰𝘳 𝘷𝘪𝘴𝘪𝘵𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘩𝘰𝘭𝘪𝘥𝘢𝘺, 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘴 𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘯𝘵 𝘪𝘴 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘺𝘰𝘶.

We are excited to bring a new patriotic tradition to our community! Our hope is to make this a can’t-miss event each year during Fourth of July week. Click the options below to learn more information and find answers to any questions about the event.

Parade route map for Thief River Falls along the river. The event runs from 3rd St Bridge to Finnsbury Park and back.
The parade route will be approximately 3 miles long. After docking in the water, all participants should head to the 3rd Street Bridge area, where boats and pontoons will line up before traveling along the Red Lake River toward Finnsbury Park. Once reaching the park area, participants will turn around and make their way back along the same route.
Boat docking for the parade will take place from 5:00–5:45 PM at Centennial Park. Participants and guests are asked to park across the street at Northland Technical & Community College. For the safety of everyone attending, there is absolutely NO PARKING allowed along the main road.
All boats and pontoons participating in the parade must be current on all licensing and registration requirements and must abide by all Minnesota water safety rules and guidelines. For the safety of all participants and spectators, there will be both police and sheriff presence throughout the event.
